Professional Accountant

About the role

The Professional Accountant will work full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and periodic financial summaries for management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and reconcile bank and ledger accounts.
• Monitor budgets, assist with financial reporting and audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments, provide financial insights for decision‑making, and improve internal financial processes and controls.

Required profile

• Strong core accounting skills including general ledger management, account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in budgeting, financial analysis and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, with ability to generate accurate reports.
• Knowledge of compliance and auditing, including local tax regulations and financial controls.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
• High attention to detail, ethical judgment and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Experience in the education or training sector or with small‑to‑medium organisations is beneficial.
