QA Engineer AI-Assisted Automation

About the role

Night Owls Private Limited is seeking a technically strong QA Engineer to ensure the quality of Team Enoch’s software, internal tools, and web applications. You will collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders to identify defects, build reliable automated tests, and guarantee that releases meet high standards of accuracy and usability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute testing for new features, existing applications, and website releases.
• Perform manual, exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or comparable frameworks.
• Leverage AI‑based tools to generate test cases, discover edge cases, and assist debugging, while independently validating generated results.
• Test APIs, data integrity, business rules, user permissions, and system integrations.
• Assess UI/UX across desktop and mobile browsers for responsiveness, accessibility, visual consistency, navigation, and error handling.
• Document bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected outcomes, screenshots or logs, and severity levels.
• Verify fixes, maintain regression coverage, and communicate release readiness and any unresolved risks.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of hands‑on QA experience.
• Strong technical aptitude with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience evaluating UI/UX quality and accessibility across multiple browsers and devices.
• Proven track record of documenting defects clearly and communicating testing outcomes.
