Salesperson – Outdoor Gear Retail

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Salesperson to join our Kathmandu store, where you will help customers plan their trekking and mountaineering adventures by recommending the right gear and rentals. This full‑time, on‑site position offers a dynamic retail environment focused on outdoor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, understand their outdoor activity plans, and suggest suitable products or rental gear.
• Explain product features and benefits, process sales and rentals, and handle returns or exchanges.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and manage cash handling.
• Organise product displays, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with manufacturing and warehouse teams.
• Keep the store clean, welcoming, and support promotional activities.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with clear communication in English and Nepali.
• Sales and negotiation ability, including upselling and cross‑selling.
• Basic inventory management and POS experience.
• Keen interest or knowledge of trekking, hiking, and mountaineering equipment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform light stocking tasks.
• Attention to detail, reliability in handling cash and customer information.
• Previous retail or outdoor‑gear sales experience is a plus but not mandatory.
