Senior Node.js / Backend Developer (JavaScript)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Node.js / Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure production‑grade systems. The role involves creating microservices, real‑time components, and integrating AI/LLM services while ensuring high reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement microservice and REST API architectures using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript.
• Develop event‑driven and real‑time features with RabbitMQ, WebSocket, and Socket.IO.
• Integrate external APIs, including AI/LLM services such as OpenAI, and coordinate with Python/FastAPI services.
• Manage data persistence, complex queries, and caching with PostgreSQL, TypeORM, and Redis.
• Handle authentication, authorization, and security using JWT, Passport.js, and RBAC.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and AWS deployments, and monitor production health.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building backend systems in Node.js.
• Strong understanding of microservice, event‑driven, and real‑time architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/LLM API integration and Python service communication.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimise performance in production environments.
