Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Platform

About the role

CloudFactory is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable, cloud‑native platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑impact features that power our mission‑driven services.

Key responsibilities

• Architectural ownership: design scalable, distributed systems and define future cloud‑native architecture.
• High‑performance engineering: build, review, and maintain mission‑critical production services primarily in Go.
• CI/CD and DevOps: evolve pipelines, Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure automation.
• Operational excellence: ensure reliability, security, and observability at scale.
• Technical strategy: manage technical debt and make architectural trade‑offs aligned with business growth.
• Client solution design: create proofs‑of‑concept and support complex integrations.
• Technical mentorship: lead code reviews, design docs, and provide hands‑on support to global teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating complex software systems at scale.
• Expertise in Go (Golang) with a focus on idiomatic, concurrent, performant code.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep experience with managed services, networking, and security on AWS or GCP.
• Strong background in distributed systems.
