Software QA Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer II to ensure the quality of our software products through thorough manual testing, API validation, and database verification. The role involves collaborating with development teams to deliver reliable releases and support automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and design test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end manual testing.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman, checking request/response and business logic.
• Execute database testing and data validation with PostgreSQL and MySQL, writing SQL queries to verify data accuracy.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects until resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Review application logs, API responses, and database records to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain test documentation and report execution results.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and automation adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4‑6 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong hands‑on experience in manual testing.
• Proven experience with API testing and validation using Postman.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test plans.
• Understanding of defect management and testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
