Study Abroad Advisor

About the role

Teams Consult, a leading academic consultancy in Nepal, is seeking a full‑time Study Abroad Advisor to work on‑site in Kathmandu. You will guide students and their families through every step of planning and pursuing international education, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with students and parents to assess academic goals and recommend suitable countries, institutions, and programmes.
• Provide detailed information on admission requirements, application timelines, scholarships, and financial considerations.
• Assist students in preparing and submitting documentation, including visa applications, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Conduct information sessions, workshops, and one‑on‑one counselling to keep candidates well‑informed.
• Maintain accurate records in internal databases and collaborate with colleagues to uphold the consultancy’s ethical standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in educational consulting or counselling, preferably with experience in international study programmes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex information clearly.
• Practical knowledge of visa procedures and documentation requirements.
• Organised, able to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Humanities, Law or related field; counselling certifications are a plus.
• Fluency in English and Nepali, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency, including email, document creation, spreadsheets, and CRM/database usage.
