3D Character & Environment Artist – Modeling

About the role

Incessant Rain Studios is seeking a skilled 3D Character and Environment Modeling Artist to produce production‑ready assets for games and visual effects. The role involves creating high‑quality character models, props and environments using advanced polygonal techniques and collaborating with concept, animation and technical art teams.

Key responsibilities

• Model simple to complex props, characters and environments to a high standard.
• Create facial blendshapes for a wide range of expressions.
• Develop efficient UV layouts using UDIM workflows for texture painting.
• Apply knowledge of human and animal anatomy to ensure accurate models.
• Work closely with concept artists, animators and tech artists throughout production.
• Guide and review junior artists to maintain consistent quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional 3D modeling experience.
• Strong understanding of real‑world proportions, scale and anatomy.
• Experience with UV mapping and UDIM pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Art, Design, 3D Modeling or related field.

Required skills

• Polygonal subdivision modeling.
• Proficiency with ZBrush, Blender and Maya.
• UV mapping and UDIM workflow expertise.
• Blendshape creation for facial animation.
