Barista

About the role

This full-time, on-site Barista position is based in Kathmandu. You will prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas and light snacks, ensuring high standards of quality and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, teas and other café beverages following Roadhouse standards.
• Operate coffee machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare light snacks or accompaniments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station.
• Greet guests, take orders, answer menu questions and provide friendly service.
• Coordinate with team members and support overall café operations.
• Monitor inventory of coffee beans, supplies and assist during peak service periods.
• Follow health, safety and food-safety guidelines at all times.

Required profile

• Strong barista skills, including coffee brewing and espresso preparation.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Clear and professional communication.
• Prior experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality setting (preferred).
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic understanding of hygiene, food safety and safe equipment operation.
• Team-oriented, reliable and genuine interest in coffee and hospitality.
