Business Development Officer

About the role

ghumNepal, a leading tourism and hospitality ecommerce platform in Nepal, is looking for a driven Business Development Officer to expand its host and partner network across the country. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, onboarding hotels, homestays, lodges, restaurants, travel agencies and experience providers, and converting leads into sustainable revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities with hospitality and tourism partners throughout Nepal.
• Build and maintain a qualified lead pipeline through field visits, calls, emails, social media and networking events.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for new host sign‑ups, partnerships and revenue.
• Prepare and deliver persuasive pitches, proposals and product demonstrations of the ghumNepal platform.
• Guide new hosts and vendors through registration, listing creation, pricing and content requirements.
• Coordinate with operations and content teams to ensure accurate and timely live listings.
• Train partners on using the dashboard, managing bookings and responding to guests.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned partner accounts, negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within the existing partner base.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing; share feedback with product, marketing and IT teams.

• Driven and personable with a passion for meeting people and travelling within Nepal.
• Enjoys building relationships and developing business from the ground up.
• Comfortable working in a field‑oriented, relationship‑driven environment.
