Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Officer to join our consultancy firm in Kathmandu. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting revenue growth through proactive outreach and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities via market research, networking, referrals, and client outreach.
• Generate leads, maintain a strong pipeline, and convert qualified prospects into contracts.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, service proposals, quotations, and business pitches.
• Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to create customized solutions.
• Monitor tender notices, RFPs, RFQs and assist in bid preparation and submission.
• Represent the consultancy at meetings, conferences, seminars, and networking events.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis and provide recommendations to management.
• Support marketing activities such as social media, email campaigns, and promotional material creation.
• Maintain post‑sales relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• Previous experience in business development, sales, marketing, client relationship management or consultancy.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to prepare professional proposals, reports and business correspondence.
