About the role

Manavsewa Ashram is seeking a skilled Cameraman to capture and produce visual content that showcases its humanitarian activities. The role involves creating compelling photos and videos for social media, the website, and presentations, helping to communicate the Ashram’s mission worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Capture high‑quality photos and videos of daily activities, events, rescue operations and reunions.
• Shoot, edit and produce video content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and the official website.
• Edit raw footage using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Lightroom.
• Develop creative visual stories that highlight the Ashram’s impact.
• Optimize visual assets for each digital platform.
• Plan and manage shoots independently, often under tight deadlines.
• Maintain and archive all photo and video files for documentation.
• Operate cameras, lighting kits, stabilization systems and audio equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to understand project needs and deliver appropriate visual assets.
• Propose innovative ideas for storytelling and visual engagement.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, Filmmaking or a related field.
• Previous experience in videography and photo documentation (portfolio required).
• Fluency in Nepali and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong visual composition sense and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
• Cultural sensitivity to respectfully capture people from various backgrounds.
• Willingness to travel for field work (approximately 60% of the time).
