Digital Media & Broadcast Operations Executive

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Digital Media & Broadcast Operations Executive to join a leading television network in Kathmandu. The role blends broadcast management with digital content creation, ensuring seamless on‑air transmission and a strong online presence.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage Master Control Room (MCR) software for scheduled broadcasting.
• Monitor daily broadcast playlists and guarantee uninterrupted transmission.
• Publish and update news articles, images, and videos on the company’s news portal.
• Manage and optimise social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Perform SEO for website news articles and digital content.
• Create captions, thumbnails, hashtags, and metadata for digital assets.
• Upload and schedule videos on YouTube and other platforms.
• Analyse website and social media metrics and propose audience‑growth strategies.
• Coordinate with newsroom and production teams for timely breaking‑news publication.
• Maintain content accuracy, consistency, and branding across all digital channels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, IT, Digital Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills in English and Nepali.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced newsroom, including rotational shifts.
• Interest in television broadcasting, news, and digital journalism.

Required skills

• Operation of broadcast/MCR software (training may be provided).
• SEO principles and digital content optimisation.
• Management of Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn.
• WordPress or other CMS familiarity.
• Image editing tools such as Canva or Photoshop.
• YouTube Studio and Facebook Business Suite.
• Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Video publishing and basic video editing.
