District Project Coordinator – Achham, Nepal

About the role

The District Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of UNFPA‑supported integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender‑based violence (GBV) programmes across assigned districts and municipalities in Achham, Nepal. Working closely with provincial, district and local authorities, the role ensures that services are planned, financed, delivered and monitored as an integrated, rights‑based system.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of SRHR and GBV interventions in the district and municipal level.
• Maintain regular engagement with provincial, district and local authorities.
• Coordinate implementing partners, service‑delivery actors and joint programme teams.
• Monitor programme quality, results and timely reporting.
• Link municipal implementation with provincial and national systems, policies and financing mechanisms.
• Support cross‑sector collaboration across health, social development, justice, education and protection structures.

Required profile

• Field‑based project coordination experience in health, social development or related sectors.
• Proven ability to work with government authorities and multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding of SRHR, GBV and rights‑based approaches.
• Strong monitoring, evaluation and reporting skills.
• Commitment to inclusive service delivery for women, girls, adolescents, persons with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, Dalits and other marginalized groups.
