Finance Trainee (One‑Year Traineeship)

About the role

World Vision International Nepal offers a one‑year Finance Trainee program for recent graduates. The trainee will support the West Field Office finance team in daily financial operations, gaining hands‑on experience in accounting, reporting and fund management within a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, file and maintain original invoices, vouchers and supporting documents according to established procedures.
• Prepare payment and claim vouchers, petty‑cash settlement reports, and assist in monthly financial reporting.
• Reconcile payment documents with financial transactions and identify any discrepancies.
• Support the finance team in reviewing PNGO (Partner Non‑Government Organization) transactions and risk‑based financial monitoring.
• Assist in compiling West Field Office financial reports and related data.
• Communicate with PNGOs regarding fund forecasts, fund requests and required documentation.

Required profile

• Recent graduate from a Nepali university with an interest in finance or accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Good organizational skills for systematic filing and document management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance staff and external partners.
