Finance Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of a manufacturing business, ensuring accurate accounting, robust reporting, and effective cost control. Working closely with production, procurement, sales and senior management, the role supports strategic decisions through financial analysis and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance and accounting activities, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and business targets, providing insights to management.
• Manage product costing, inventory valuation, stock movement and production variance analysis.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning processes.
• Control daily cash flow, receivables, payables and working capital requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Nepalese accounting standards, tax, VAT and TDS regulations and coordinate audits.
• Develop and enforce internal financial policies, controls and risk‑management procedures.
• Supervise and develop the Finance & Accounts team, reviewing reconciliations and closing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA) preferred.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage budgeting, cost accounting, cash‑flow and tax compliance.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience presenting financial insights to senior leadership.
