Freight Forwarding Specialist

About the role

Classic Freight Nepal is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Specialist to manage and coordinate international shipments from origin to final destination. The role ensures smooth, timely execution of freight operations while maintaining effective communication with customers, overseas agents, carriers, customs representatives, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end freight forwarding operations for air, sea, road, and multimodal shipments.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, and customers.
• Obtain and evaluate freight quotations, negotiate competitive rates, and arrange cargo bookings.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate shipping, commercial, and customs documentation (BL, AWB, DO, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).
• Monitor shipment schedules, track ETD/ETA, and provide timely updates to customers and management.
• Coordinate customs clearance, inland transportation, warehousing, and final delivery.
• Identify and resolve delays, documentation issues, damages, or shortages.
• Maintain records of shipments, quotations, invoices, and operational documents.
• Collaborate with finance on freight invoices, vendor payments, and customer billing.
• Prepare regular operational and performance reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or international freight operations.
