About the role

The Kitchen Staff member will work full‑time on‑site at Moxy Kathmandu, supporting the hotel’s food and beverage operations. This role involves assisting cooks and chefs with basic food preparation, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring timely service for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Support food preparation by chopping, measuring, and handling ingredients safely.
• Assist cooks and chefs with basic cooking tasks and follow established recipes.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, wash dishes and equipment, and uphold hygiene and safety standards.
• Store, label, and organize ingredients to prevent waste and ensure freshness.
• Plate dishes, restock supplies, and coordinate with front‑of‑house staff for timely service.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food‑storage procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Demonstrated food‑preparation abilities, including chopping, measuring, and safe ingredient handling.
• Strong kitchen hygiene and safety practices with attention to cleanliness and proper food storage.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills for busy service periods.
• Effective teamwork and communication to collaborate with chefs, servers, and other hotel staff.
• Reliability and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of Nepalese and international cuisine and willingness to learn new recipes.
• Commitment to guest satisfaction and a professional, respectful attitude.
