Product Support Engineer – Heavy Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a technically skilled, results‑oriented Product Support Engineer specialized in heavy equipment. The role involves providing technical expertise, product support, and application solutions across our heavy equipment portfolio while supporting customers and internal sales teams throughout Nepal.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical analysis and evaluation of the full heavy equipment product range.
• Deliver product and technical training to the sales team to enhance their knowledge and selling capability.
• Support sales with technical information, specifications, applications, and tailored solutions.
• Identify new product opportunities based on market needs, customer feedback, and industry trends.
• Explore and develop new business channels to grow market presence across Nepal.
• Provide customers with technical solutions, product recommendations, and application support.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and deliver after‑sales technical support.
• Coordinate with customers, sales, suppliers, and internal technical teams as required.
• Monitor market developments, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the heavy equipment sector.
• Gather and communicate customer and market insights to management and product teams.
• Support product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer visits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications, features, applications, and technical developments.
• Ensure proper technical documentation and reporting related to products and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in product support, service engineering, technical support or a similar technical role.
• Hands‑on experience with heavy equipment, construction machinery, mining equipment or commercial vehicles.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment applications and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across Nepal.
