Retail Salesperson

About the role

JJ Marble is seeking a motivated Retail Salesperson to drive showroom sales and build lasting relationships with customers and industry professionals. The role focuses on guiding clients through product selection, preparing quotations, and achieving sales targets in a dynamic retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet walk‑in customers, understand their needs and recommend appropriate marble and related products.
• Explain product features, specifications, benefits and pricing.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations to close sales.
• Maintain excellent customer service to encourage repeat business.
• Develop and nurture relationships with interior designers, architects and contractors.
• Keep accurate records of visitors, enquiries, projects and key clients.
• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics and housekeeping teams for timely order fulfillment and showroom upkeep.
• Assist with documentation, billing, order processing and customer queries.
• Support daily showroom operations and meet assigned sales targets.

Required profile

• +2 or Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• 1–2 years of retail or showroom sales experience, preferably in marble, tiles, sanitaryware or construction materials.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer‑service orientation.
• Confident, presentable, proactive and target‑driven.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of MS Office and sales documentation.
