Senior Operations Associate (G-7) – Fixed Term – Surkhet, Nepal

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Operations Associate (G‑7) to manage administration and logistics for programme implementation across Karnali and Sudur Paschim provinces. Based in the Surkhet Field Office, you will support cost‑effective, secure operations that contribute to Nepal’s country programme results.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure effective, equitable, and efficient field‑office administration.
• Interpret and apply organisational policies and procedures for finance and administrative functions.
• Maintain fiduciary integrity and transparent utilisation of resources.
• Provide cross‑checks and support to programme colleagues and implementing partners.
• Monitor performance and payments of service contractors, including fleet management.
• Assist the Chief of Field Office with security‑related issues and emergency operations.
• Coordinate staff wellbeing activities within the field office.

Required profile

• Relevant higher‑education qualification.
• Experience in operations, administration, or logistics within a humanitarian or development context.
• Ability to work under supervision of the Chief of Field Office and matrix management from the Deputy Representative Operations.
