Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the store and warehouse, ensuring that all materials, equipment and supplies are received, stored, recorded and issued accurately. The role supports internal departments by maintaining optimal inventory levels and guaranteeing that required items are readily available.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documents.
• Store and organize materials for easy identification and retrieval.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, returns and transfers.
• Monitor inventory levels, report low‑stock items and assist in replenishment planning.
• Issue materials to authorized staff based on approved requests.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and safe storage of all items.
• Track damaged, expired or obsolete stock and report to supervisors.
• Keep the store area clean, safe and well‑organized.
• Coordinate with procurement, accounts, operations and other departments regarding inventory needs.
• Assist in preparing inventory reports and stock statements.

Required profile

• Minimum +2/Intermediate education; a diploma or bachelor's in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Good communication skills in Nepali and English.
