Supply Chain & Logistics Officer

About the role

Deurali-Janta, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Nepal, is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain & Logistics Officer to lead its purchasing function. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end procurement process for raw materials, packaging, equipment and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting the production of high‑quality medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of the purchasing department.
• Develop purchase plans for pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging, equipment, and services.
• Enforce procurement policies and procedures.
• Review, compare, analyze, and approve product and service purchases.
• Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Update and maintain supplier information, including qualifications and delivery performance.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Research and evaluate new suppliers.
• Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and regular procurement reports.

Required profile

• Master’s or graduate degree in Science, B.Pharm, B.Com or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven supervisory and management experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with purchasing software.
