Tandoor Chef

About the role

The Tandoor Chef will join Bagaichā’s dynamic kitchen team, preparing authentic Indian tandoor specialties for a diverse clientele. Working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, you will ensure every dish meets the brand’s high standards of taste, quality, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook naan, roti, kebabs, tikka and other tandoori items using the traditional tandoor.
• Operate, clean and maintain the tandoor safely and efficiently.
• Prepare marinades, doughs and other ingredients required for tandoor dishes.
• Maintain consistency in flavor, portion size, and plating.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
• Monitor stock levels, minimize waste and keep the tandoor station organized.
• Uphold food hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar Indian cuisine role.
• Strong background in Indian spices, marinades and dough preparation.
• Experience in a hotel, fine‑dining or reputable restaurant is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, discipline and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
