Accountant & Cashier

About the role

The Accountant / Cashier will manage daily cash flows, maintain accurate accounting records, and support the finance team in reporting and compliance for Martin Dairy Products' head office and factory in Lalitpur.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and record daily cash collections; process payments and issue receipts.
• Maintain the cash book, petty‑cash transactions and perform daily cash reconciliations.
• Record all financial transactions, prepare journal entries, vouchers and post to the general ledger.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist in periodic financial reporting.
• Prepare bank deposits, manage cheque issuance and maintain banking documentation.
• Generate invoices, VAT bills and ensure proper filing of all accounting documents.
• Maintain VAT, TDS and other statutory records; support tax filings and audit processes.
• Coordinate with store and production for inventory reconciliation and cost monitoring.
• Prepare daily cash position reports and other management reports as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and support special finance projects.
