Accountant – Full-time On-site

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Accountant to join our client’s team on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting, ensuring compliance with Nepalese tax regulations, and assisting management with day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and ensure timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file VAT, TDS, and other statutory compliance reports.
• Assist in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Prepare MIS reports and periodic reporting as instructed.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with prevailing accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Support management with financial analysis and operational reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in finance/accounts.
• Semi‑qualified CA, ACCA student/affiliate or equivalent professional qualification preferred, with 1 year post‑articleship experience.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal tax laws, VAT, TDS and financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
