Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Biratnagar

About the role

Priyanka Dana Udhyog is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Accountant to join its finance team in Biratnagar. The role involves managing daily accounting operations, supporting month‑end and year‑end closings, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, maintain ledgers, prepare vouchers and reconcile accounts.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing, prepare basic financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support audits and monitor compliance with financial and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, banks and vendors, identify discrepancies and suggest process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping practices and basic financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and spreadsheet applications.
• Experience in account reconciliation, ledger management, and handling AP/AR.
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field (preferred).
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, especially in manufacturing or trading, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Nepal’s tax regulations, invoicing standards and compliance requirements.
