Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for a consumer electronics distributor in Biratnagar. This full‑time, on‑site position involves managing the general ledger, handling payables and receivables, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with Nepalese standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, process accounts payable and receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting related to electronic product distribution.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Mentor junior finance staff and improve financial controls and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications (CA, ACCA) are a plus.
• Proven senior‑level accounting experience, preferably in distribution, trading or consumer electronics.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability and commitment to accurate financial records.
