Accounts & Recovery Officer

About the role

We are seeking an energetic and responsible Accounts & Recovery Officer to manage basic accounting tasks, follow up on customer payments, and recover outstanding dues. The role requires regular coordination with customers and the sales team, accurate record‑keeping, and occasional field visits.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor outstanding payments and maintain daily debtor/recovery lists.
• Contact customers via calls, messages, and email to secure pending payments.
• Record payment commitments and track promised dates.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure timely recovery from their customers.
• Prepare daily and weekly recovery reports using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Perform basic accounting, billing, payment tracking, and ledger activities.
• Visit customer locations when needed to resolve payment issues.
• Identify payment discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Draft professional payment reminders using email, SMS, and AI tools.
• Maintain documentation of all recovery actions and communications.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts, recovery, collection, credit control, or customer payment follow‑up.
• Valid two‑wheeler license and own vehicle.
• Energetic, persistent, honest, and comfortable handling difficult conversations.
• Basic knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini is a plus.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets.
• Basic familiarity with ChatGPT or Gemini.
