Air Pollution Mitigation Analyst

About the role

The Air Pollution Mitigation Analyst will join ICIMOD’s Air Pollution Mitigation Intervention, focusing on reducing air pollutants across the Hindu Kush Himalaya region. This full‑time role supports the organization’s Strategy 2030 goals and contributes to healthier, more resilient mountain communities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to Intervention 2: Air Pollution Mitigation within ICIMOD’s Air Pollution Mitigation Intervention.
• Support the development and implementation of strategies to reduce air pollutants, including short‑lived climate forcers and greenhouse gases, across the HKH region.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders and partners to promote cleaner, socially responsible solutions.
• Assist in strengthening institutional capabilities for air‑quality monitoring and policy making.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in environmental science, economics, energy, engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in air‑pollution mitigation, climate, or environmental research.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and build partnerships.
