Area Sales Manager – Drive Growth & Market Presence

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, result‑oriented Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth and strengthen our market presence within a defined territory. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding our dealer network, and guiding a high‑performing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute area sales plans to meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Drive primary and secondary sales, identify new market opportunities and expand the dealer/retailer network.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, contractors, painters and other channel partners.
• Monitor distributor stock, sales movement, payments and ensure implementation of pricing, promotions and trade offers.
• Lead, coach and motivate the sales team, conduct field visits and performance reviews.
• Coordinate brand promotion activities, dealer meets, product demos and trade marketing initiatives.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors and provide strategic recommendations.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and analyse performance against KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the paints industry or a closely related sector.
• Strong market knowledge and a track record of achieving sales targets.
• Demonstrated expertise in dealer/distributor management and team leadership.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
