Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team and support the accounting operations across 14 business units of Omnicom Media Group Nepal. Working closely with the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller, you will help ensure consistent application of company policies and accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments and expense allocations.
• Monitor general‑ledger coding of payable invoices and verify accuracy.
• Analyse profit & loss statements to support month‑end reporting.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with global P&L analysis.
• Support monthly overhead forecasting and assist with audits and statutory reporting.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects, reconciliations and stakeholder requests as directed by management.

Required profile

• Degree major in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent English communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SQL and Power Query is a plus.
