Assistant Manager – Local & Domestic Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Local & Domestic Operations will support and monitor daily performance of Prime Express's local and domestic business in Kathmandu. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures smooth shipment movement from first‑mile pickup to final delivery while collaborating with branches, hubs, delivery teams, customers, sales and accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with branches, hubs and delivery staff to track shipments and resolve delays.
• Follow up on pending and delayed shipments, COD settlements and outstanding payments.
• Monitor branch performance and support sales and customer‑retention initiatives.
• Handle customer escalations and supervise operational staff.
• Report on performance metrics, identify gaps and drive process improvements.
• Travel to branches and operational locations as required.

Required profile

• Experience in courier, logistics, cargo, transportation or e‑commerce delivery operations.
• Proven ability to follow up, coordinate tasks and supervise teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for dealing with branches, staff and customers.
• Understanding of sales, CRM, payment collection, COD, billing and basic accounts coordination.
• Problem‑solving, decision‑making, organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Logistics or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
• Willingness to travel and work in a fast‑paced environment.
