Assistant Manager – Sales Coordination

About the role

You will own the order‑to‑dispatch chain for both distribution and project business, acting as the single point where an order becomes a delivery. The role is driven by organisation and follow‑up rather than hierarchy, with real accountability for meeting delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end order processing: receipt, validation, credit‑check routing, stock allocation, dispatch scheduling and customer confirmation.
• Track every open quotation until conversion or formal closure and maintain a live quotation register.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, Credit Control and Projects, escalating any blockages on the same day.
• Serve distribution and project customers equally, adhering to monthly service level agreements.
• Own customer delivery commitments, ensuring dates are met or renegotiated in time.
• Maintain channel partner and customer master data, price lists and scheme records.
• Handle order, dispatch and documentation queries, routing product quality issues to Quality Assurance.
• Supervise the Executive – Dispatch & Billing and ensure same‑day invoicing.
• Produce weekly order‑book and pending‑dispatch reports for senior leadership.
• Identify recurring failures in the order chain and propose corrective actions.

Required profile

• At least four years of experience in sales coordination, order management or related functions.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Accountability‑driven mindset with a focus on meeting delivery commitments.

Required skills
