About the role

Prime College is seeking a responsible and organized Assistant for the Department of Student Life and Engagement. The role combines day‑to‑day management of the college library with support for student‑life activities, ensuring smooth operations and high‑quality service for students, faculty, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily library functions including book issuance, returns, renewals, and record‑keeping.
• Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating and using library resources.
• Prepare and maintain library reports, transaction logs, overdue notices, and related documentation.
• Coordinate communication and follow‑up on library and DSLE matters with relevant departments.
• Support the Director of Student Life and Engagement in planning and executing student programs, events, workshops, and orientations.
• Liaise with student clubs, committees, faculty, and other departments to facilitate engagement activities.
• Maintain records of student activities, attendance, feedback, and event outcomes.
• Help organize student development programs and other DSLE‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in library administration, student services, or a related administrative role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Service‑oriented mindset with the ability to assist diverse users.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
