Associate Monitoring & Evaluation Expert (Consultant)

About the role

The International Trade Centre is looking for an Associate Monitoring and Evaluation Expert to support its Trade Facilitation Programme for South Asia. Based in Kathmandu, the consultant will help design and implement the programme’s monitoring, results measurement and reporting framework.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing a monitoring plan aligned with the project’s logical framework and results chain.
• Develop, review and improve monitoring tools, templates and questionnaires for quantitative and qualitative data collection.
• Collect, process and analyse data, producing regular monitoring reports, dashboards and visualisations.
• Prepare project brochures, quarterly monitoring reports and contribute to annual progress reports for EU and governance bodies.
• Support refinement of the logical framework, indicators and reporting arrangements during the inception phase.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in International Trade, Development, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation or related field (or Bachelor’s with additional experience).
• Minimum two years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in South Asia or trade‑related projects.
• Experience with UN, EU or other development agencies is desirable.
