About the role

ASB Associates – Chartered Accountants is seeking an Article Trainee to join its audit and advisory team in Kathmandu. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience across statutory and internal audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance while supporting senior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain working papers for audit engagements.
• Perform test checks, document findings, and assist in the completion of statutory and internal audits.
• Review financial statements and support regulatory and tax compliance tasks.
• Contribute to risk assessment, corporate governance, and advisory assignments under supervision.
• Gather, analyse, and organise financial data for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Completed CA‑CAP II from ICAN or equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage timelines and uphold ethical standards.
• Interest in taxation, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of accounting, tax, auditing and financial reporting concepts.
• Familiarity with audit tools and handling financial data.
