Audit Manager – Lead Audit Engagements

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead audit engagements for a chartered accountancy firm in Kathmandu. This full‑time, on‑site position involves planning, executing and reviewing audits while ensuring high‑quality documentation and client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assess risk, execute audit procedures and review working papers and reports for multiple engagements.
• Supervise and mentor audit team members, ensuring adherence to professional standards and timely delivery.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients, supporting improvements in internal controls and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with tax and advisory teams and manage client relationships.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies within the firm.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Extensive experience in finance and financial audits, including planning and execution.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent, registered or eligible with ICAN.
• Prior experience in audit management or senior audit roles, preferably in a chartered accountancy firm.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high professional integrity.
