Bakery & Pastry Commis I (Full‑time)

About the role

The Soaltee Resort is looking for a motivated Commis I to join its bakery and pastry team in Budhanilkantha. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the creation of breads, pastries, cakes and desserts while maintaining the high standards expected in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and desserts following established recipes.
• Assist in menu development, mise en place, portioning and plate presentation.
• Support senior chefs during service and coordinate with other kitchen sections.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to food‑safety and hygiene protocols.
• Handle proper storage of ingredients, monitor inventory and minimise waste.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a professional hotel or restaurant bakery/pastry kitchen.
• Strong foundational knowledge of bakery and pastry production techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, service‑oriented attitude with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
