About the role
Chamunda Trading House (CTH) is looking for an experienced Biomedical Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of medical devices across its facilities in Kathmandu, Biratnagar and Chitwan. The role involves hands‑on work with a wide range of biomedical equipment, supporting clinical teams and contributing to high‑quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair and commission biomedical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration and safety checks.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and equipment inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors for AMC/CMC, warranty and technical support.
- Support equipment procurement and commissioning processes.
- Train clinical staff on the safe use of medical devices.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.
Required profile
- Minimum 24 months of experience in biomedical engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and lifecycle management of medical equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams, vendors and hospital management.
