Enumerators for Flood Relief – Data Collection & Support

About the role

The Nepal Association of the Blind seeks dedicated Enumerators to support flood‑affected communities across Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Dhading. You will gather quantitative and qualitative data on persons with disabilities, provide immediate psychosocial assistance, and link families to essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Collect quantitative data on flood‑affected persons with disabilities from ward offices and local OPDs.
• Gather qualitative information using NAB’s standard format.
• Provide on‑site psychosocial counselling to individuals and families during assessments.
• Identify and facilitate referrals to available services and resources.
• Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, OPDs and community groups.
• Participate in local coordination meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+2 education; pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in public health, social science, development studies or related field.
• At least three years of experience in community mobilisation, mapping, social work or development projects (preferred).
• Prior experience in emergency‑response interventions (strongly preferred).
• Understanding of psychosocial counselling and disability inclusion (advantageous).
• Knowledge of local languages and sign language (advantageous).
• Own motorcycle with a valid licence (preferred).

Required skills

• Experience using Kobo or other open‑source data‑collection and visualization platforms.

What we offer

• Monthly stipend of NPR 50,000.
• Daily travel allowances as needed.
• Short‑term contract (up to two months) with exposure to humanitarian field work.
