Business Development Assistant Officer

About the role

InfraConsult is seeking a Business Development Assistant Officer to support its international engineering consulting and infrastructure development activities. The role involves assisting with proposal preparation, expert database management, client coordination, market intelligence, and corporate communications.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and monitor consulting opportunities from government agencies and development partners such as ADB, World Bank, MCC, JICA, KfW, AIIB.
• Conduct market research on infrastructure projects and support the preparation of EOIs, technical proposals, and marketing materials.
• Develop and maintain an expert database, verify qualifications, and organize project documentation.
• Visit clients and partners to gather market information, prepare reports, and maintain a pipeline of opportunities.
• Draft professional correspondence, assist with meeting minutes, newsletters, brochures, and update LinkedIn and website content.
• Support ongoing consulting projects with coordination, action‑item tracking, and documentation.
• Maintain organized digital filing systems and facilitate internal knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in business development, proposal support, or related consulting activities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with government agencies, development partners, and international firms.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple databases and documentation streams.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
