Business Development Officer

About the role

Prime Power is looking for a dynamic Business Development Officer to drive growth in its solar energy segment. The role focuses on generating sales for solar rooftop solutions and other renewable energy products, targeting commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.
• Understand customer requirements and design customized solar energy solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, developers, and key stakeholders.
• Generate leads, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close high‑value deals.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to spot industry trends and opportunities.
• Coordinate with technical, engineering, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking activities.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
• Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and pipeline updates for management.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
• Strong sales acumen and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent relationship‑management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into commercial proposals.
• Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
