Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the role

Sarvanam Software is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer to shape our technology strategy, modernize legacy products, and drive engineering excellence. The CTO will lead the transformation of existing platforms into secure, scalable, and future‑ready solutions using contemporary Microsoft technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s technology roadmap in line with business objectives.
• Lead the modernization of legacy software, establishing scalable architecture and engineering standards.
• Make architecture decisions around C#.NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Evaluate existing systems and devise migration, refactoring, and re‑engineering strategies.
• Oversee database architecture, optimization, and modernization using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Set standards for performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Promote API‑first design and integration with internal and third‑party systems.
• Introduce modern development practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, version control, code reviews, and DevOps.
• Establish technical governance, coding and documentation standards, and lead architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with CEO, product, project, and business teams to translate requirements into technology solutions.
• Mentor and grow the engineering team, fostering a strong technical culture.
• Assess new technologies and recommend solutions based on business value and sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a software engineering environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of successful product modernization.
• Deep expertise in software architecture.NET technologies, and database design.
• Experience managing and scaling engineering teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• C# and .NET ecosystem (ASP.NET Core, Web API, REST APIs).
• Microsoft SQL Server, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing.
• Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control (Git), and DevOps practices.
• API‑first architecture and system integration.
• Software design patterns, clean architecture, SOLID principles.
