Cost Controller – Hotel Finance

About the role

Join the finance team of a new 175‑room hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. As a Cost Controller you will safeguard financial performance by monitoring costs, ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting budgeting across all hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control food, beverage and operational costs to optimise profitability.
• Conduct daily and monthly inventory checks of stock, supplies and operating items.
• Review purchase orders, receiving records and consumption reports to identify variances.
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, Culinary, F&B and Stores teams for accurate stock management.
• Prepare cost reports, analyses and financial summaries for budgeting and decision‑making.
• Assist in maintaining standard recipes, portion controls and pricing structures.
• Track wastage, spoilage and operational discrepancies, recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, audit requirements and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of cost control, inventory or finance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong understanding of food & beverage costing and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination with operational and finance teams.
