Country Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager

About the role

The Country Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager will lead indrive’s engagement with government bodies, regulators, industry associations and civil society in Nepal. The role shapes a favourable policy environment, mitigates regulatory risk and positions the company as a trusted partner in the digital mobility ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive public policy and government affairs strategy for Nepal.
• Build and maintain relationships with ministries, regulatory agencies, parliamentarians and local authorities.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory and political developments and advise senior management on risks and opportunities.
• Lead advocacy on digital economy, ride‑sharing, labour, taxation, consumer protection and competition policy.
• Prepare policy briefs, position papers, consultation responses and regulatory submissions.
• Represent indrive in meetings, hearings and policy dialogues with government stakeholders.
• Design and execute advocacy campaigns, coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Support strategic communications, thought‑leadership content and media engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public policy, government affairs or regulatory advocacy, preferably in the digital or mobility sector.
• Strong network with government officials, regulators and industry bodies in Nepal.
• Ability to analyse complex legislative issues and translate them into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of leading successful advocacy campaigns.
