Demi Chef de Partie – Chinese Cuisine

About the role

Bagaichā Fine Dining is looking for a skilled Chinese Demi Chef de Partie to join its vibrant kitchen team. You will work in a high‑end restaurant environment, preparing authentic Chinese dishes while upholding the brand’s quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Chinese menu items, ensuring consistent taste, portioning, and plating.
• Manage a designated section of the Chinese kitchen during prep and service.
• Supervise and mentor Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory, and minimise food waste.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety standards in line with HACCP procedures.
• Support the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie with menu development and daily operations.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a Chinese kitchen, preferably as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar.
• Strong knowledge of authentic Chinese cuisine, wok techniques, and sauce preparation.
• Leadership ability to guide junior kitchen staff.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and fast‑paced kitchen operations.
• Culinary qualification or hospitality training is a plus.
