English Teacher for Grades 8-10

About the role

The English Teacher will deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction to students in Grades 8, 9 and 10 at RAI School in Kathmandu. The role focuses on fostering creativity, critical thinking and communication skills while supporting each learner’s progress.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement lesson plans that integrate thematic and interdisciplinary approaches.
• Incorporate art, research, extra reading and varied activities to enrich English language learning.
• Assess student performance through continuous evaluations and prepare standard report cards.
• Maintain detailed records of student behavior, skills, strengths and areas for improvement.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, challenges and achievements.
• Build positive, unbiased relationships with students and provide timely, specific feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of teaching experience with secondary‑level students.
• Strong command of English language and ability to relate content to real‑life situations.
• Creative and resourceful approach to lesson delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with students, parents and colleagues.
