Finance Consultant – Audit & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Consultant specialized in audit and compliance to support multiple client and corporate accounts. The role bridges day‑to‑day accounting operations with audit and regulatory frameworks, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to tax and statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with IFRS/NFRS.
• Post journal entries, perform accruals, deferrals, reversals and expense allocations.
• Execute bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Prepare and file VAT, TDS and corporate/individual income tax returns, maintaining compliance with filing deadlines.
• Assist external auditors by preparing schedules, coordinating documentation and maintaining audit trails.
• Conduct internal audits, test controls, identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Manage operational accounting tasks including payroll processing, inventory verification and procurement review.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of experience in accounting, finance or audit roles.
• Hands‑on experience preparing financial statements and handling tax compliance.
• Proficiency with at least one accounting software (e.g., Tally, Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP).
• Preferred: 3 + years total experience, audit/assurance exposure, ACCA/CA qualification or pursuit, and advanced Excel skills.
