Finance Manager – Commercial (Semi-CA)

About the role

The Finance Manager – Commercial (Semi-CA) will act as the commercial co‑pilot and financial controller for the Sales, Marketing and Distribution functions. Based in Kathmandu, the role focuses on protecting and optimizing the revenue cycle, managing marketing and distribution expenses, and overseeing channel credit risks.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, monitor and enforce credit limits and credit days across the pan‑Nepal distributor and dealer network.
• Conduct weekly debtor aging reviews, highlight high‑risk overdues and partner with sales to accelerate collections.
• Direct collection, custody, tracking and timely banking presentation of security cheques, post‑dated cheques (PDCs) and bank guarantees (BGs) from channel partners.
• Lead activation and onboarding of dealers onto banking channel financing programs and monitor utilisation of limits to maximise sales while managing risk.
• Serve as single point of contact for letter of credit (LC) documentation, track LC opening, invoicing compliance and final collection.
• Ensure 100 % sign‑off on periodic balance confirmations and ledger reconciliations with dealers.
• Audit and verify dealer commercial schemes, calculate volume‑based discounts, rebates and seasonal schemes before system rollout.
• Track, validate and compute KPI achievements and incentive payouts for the internal sales team.
• Conduct budget variance and ROI tracking on advertising & marketing expenditures, sub‑dealer branding and exhibitions.
• Design and present monthly commercial MIS reports covering DSO, channel financing health, scheme burn rates and claim‑recovery trackers.
• Draft, implement and maintain SOPs for the order‑to‑cash cycle, dealer onboarding, instrument handling and insurance claim pathways.
